Take Out...but In!

OH MY GOODNESS, you guys... I am a Sesame Chicken connoisseur! I adore an amazing hot box, bowl, plate of sesame chicken and fried rice. However, finding a place that actual delivers a high quality meal like I desire is super difficult.... we are talking nearly impossible in some areas where we have lived. About four years ago I decided that I was going to start making our favorite dishes, that we would normally order for take-out or order in a restaurant, at home. Since that time I have probably tried five sesame chicken recipes and they have all failed miserably. NOT TONIGHT, Y'ALL! Tonight I found a recipe that is spot on. The batter is perfection. When the chicken in done frying it makes this beautiful shell for the chicken. It is airy on the inside and slightly crunchy on the outside. After the chicken has rested on the plate with paper towels you toss it in a stir-fry pan with the sauce that has been made. I am still dealing with not being able to taste or smell, so I had my mom who is exactly like me in the sesame chicken department, try it too. The general consensus at the dinner table was that it is "way better than anything we have ever purchased before!" So, I call that a huge win. The texture is incredible!
